Cautions when using

Regarding available time for procedures

Please note that you cannot use the app during the following times:

  • The maintenance period is from 23:50 to 0:05, during which the app cannot be used.
    • * If you have not completed a procedure by 23:50, you will need to start over from the beginning after 0:05.
    • * On the first Monday of each month, the service starts at 1:00.
    • * On the second Wednesday of each month, the service is not available between 18:00 and 3:00 the following day.
  • You cannot start procedures to open a new account between 23:00 and 0:05.
  • You cannot start procedures to reset your PIN between 23:30 and 0:05.

About Yucho Tetsuzuki App

  • Please note that we only accept individual applications, and applications submitted on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
  • The actual app interface may differ from the guide.
    Please note that the app is subject to change without notice.
  • Customers are responsible for data charges related to downloading, updating, and using the app.

About Opening an Account

  • The account that can be applied for with this application is "Yucho Direct + (Plus)", a bankbook-free account.
  • When changing to an account which issues a bankbook, a written procedure must be completed at the counter. In addition, a fee of 1,100 yen will be charged for each procedure after one month from the account opening.
  • Customers with a residence card must have their application verified at the Savings Administration Center. Please note that it may take more than 1 week to complete the confirmation. Confirmation results will be sent to the provided email address when using the application.
  • After opening your account, we will send you your cash card by simple registered mail with no forwarding required to the delivery address. If you are planning to move in the near future, please carry out the transactions after moving (The cash card cannot automatically be forwarded) .
  • You cannot register a seal when opening an account with the app.
  • Customers who need to register a personal seal to pay utility bills should bring their IC cash card, seal to be registered, and photo identification document (residence card, etc.) to the nearest Japan Post Bank or banking counter of a post office after opening an account to register their seal.

About PIN reset

  • Please note that if a proxy card user wishes to reset their PIN, the actual cardholder must perform the procedure.
  • If you have incorrectly entered your PIN more than a certain amount of times, and your bankbook is locked, it will not be automatically unlocked even if you reset your PIN.
    To unlock your bankbook, you will need to go to your nearest Japan Post Bank or Post Office Savings Counter.

About supported devices

Smartphones with cameras and IC chip reading capabilities (NFC function) can be used.

  • iPhone users: iOS 16 or later
  • Android users: Android 12 or later
  • * The system may not work properly in environments other than those listed above.
    You might encounter some usage restrictions even in the above environments due to
    device-specific conditions or issues. We appreciate your understanding.
  • * The above information will be updated as needed when the device manufacturer's support is discontinued or new versions are released.
  • * Tablet devices cannot be used.
