The following users may not open an account:

• Customers who already have a general account with Japan Post Bank (This also applies to customers who are not currently using the account except in cases where the account has already been closed).
• Individual customers who wish to use an account for business purposes*
• Corporate and organization (association or foundation without legal personality) customers*
• Customers under 16 years old*
• Foreign nationals without a residence card (such as special permanent residents and diplomats)*
• Individuals whose residence card is set to expire within three months or who are currently renewing their residence card
• Individuals who are in significant public positions with foreign governments (Foreign PEPs) and their family members*
• Customers not residing in Japan
• Customers using the adult guardianship system*
• Customers whose name include roman numbers II, III, etc.*

Notes regarding personal identification documents

• Residence card: The date of expiration must be more than three months after the application date, and your current address must be listed on the card.
  If your residence status is "Student" or "Technical Intern Training," you are required to submit a student ID, employee ID, or certificate of enrollment.

The following users may not reset your PIN:

• Individual customers who use accounts for business purposes
• Corporate customers
• Groups (associations that lack legal personality)
• Customers using the adult guardianship system
• Customers who need to change the name on their account
• Customers who do not use the cash card service
• Customers whose cash card transactions have been stopped due to loss or theft

Notes regarding personal identification documents

• Driver's license: You must enter the two PINs that you set when you were issued or renewed your license.
• Individual number card: You must enter the information listed on the front side of the card.

* The Bank will not record or store your personal identification number when you use this application to reset your PIN.
